The Anderic RR7096TR thermostatic remote control replaces the original equipment Hampton Bay and Harbor Breeze ceiling fan remotes. This remote replaces the Hampton Bay CHQ7096T (with a for/rev button).
This remote includes all the fan speeds and light buttons and the FOR/REV, LIGHT DELAY, FAN AUTO, and LIGHT TIMER buttons. The RR7096TR remote also works with light dimming and temperature settings.
- This remote only works with Ceiling Fans
- What's included: RR7096TR thermostatic remote control & Wall mount bracket (with two screws for mounting)
- This remote operates: Down-lights (with dimming), Fan off, Fan speed low, Fan speed Medium, Fan speed High, Reverse, Light delay, Fan auto, Light timer
- Works with the following receivers (but not limited to): UC7067FCRX, UC70960TX, UC7067REVB (reverse module, this unit is used with the receiver to allow reverse capabilities)
Warning: Ensure you use Incandescent bulbs, or your fan will not dim properly.
It will not fully work for Windward III Fans. (Will not do the Lights if you have an up light.)
If you have the model CHQ8BT7096T Hampton Bay remote with a (RED) light button, this replacement remote will not work the lights.

Did not realize the remote would not turn on the upper light for the Hampton Bay fan until I received it; this was not mentioned in product description. Unable to get the reverse fan motion to work. Worth the -/+ 40 bucks with shipping pst to have the fan working again, so appreciate that. Will never by another remote only operated fan, so folks should be aware that replacement remotes may not fully operate the style ceiling fan you use.
This Anderic ceiling fan remote integrated with my old fan, after punching in the old code, immediately. All the functions worked perfectly. I was smiling. So nice to have a new remote working again. The original lasted 20 years. Hopefully this one will last the same.

I ordered 2, but the remote with the yellow button is a dimmer, actually I need the one with the green button. It works with the fan but not with the light.

Worked great out of the box. Only issue is sometimes when you turn the light off it also reverses the fan? Other than that it works well on a $200 + Hampton Bay fan that the company discontinued making a replacement remote for.
After reading the site instructions about how to choose the correct remote, made my choice, & ordered. Arrived in a few days, and worked perfectly with my Gossomer Wind ceiling fan. Fan was over 15 years old. Very pleased with vendor!
With no instructions enclosed, it took some figuring... When I placed the batteries in the new remote, it lit up right away, but was not sending signals to the fan/light. I finally looked at the old remote and realized those 4 little buttons behind one of the batteries had something to do with it. 2 of the buttons had to be switched. So, let your customers know to keep the old remote and change those little buttons accordingly.
I did some trouble shooting with remote/ receivers that worked. Receiver not working. Order new parts. Got receivers first. Didn't work. Thought maybe I need a compatible remote. Ordered that. They didn't work together either.

I already replaced 4 originals with Anderic Remote RR7096TR and they work perfectly as. I recommend them 99 %. It's easy to use once you change and match the original codes with the ceiling fan. The Mega store that sold us the fans was negative in order to help.

You have to be very close to the fan for the commands to work but everything else seems in order.

It took some research to find the correct remote for the Windward2 fan I purchased over 10 years ago. There are 4 similar remotes but only one works for the Windward2; this site gave me a full explanation of the 4 similar remotes. The remote I purchased worked. I just got it last week so I don't have an assessment of long term reliability.
Looks, feels, and works just like the original. The price is right, especially when night time Temps are getting hotter and I now have a remote that works.
The reason it's not five stars is because it did not light the top light on my fan.

by Anonymous on July 26, 2014This was purchased as a replacement for a Hampton Bay remote. I wanted one that had a forward/reverse button, temperature control, several fan speeds and light dimming. The light dimming works but sometimes I have to press it more than once. Nevertheless I was very pleased with the remote. I've never used the temperature feature but I use the variable speed fan control every night. Works great! And the instructions were very clear. You have to match 4 little switches with the ones in the fan. I didn't want to take down the fan and tried all combinations until I found the right one. Would highly recommend.
