Remote works perfectly on Harbor Breeze fan that is about 6 years old. Just put in batteries, no need to go through any set up procedure.

Love the product. Worked perfectly out of the box. It's like my old remote never died. Of course, I did research to buy the correct replacement for my old fan/light remote and made sure the settings were identical to the old remote and followed the easy directions on the box.
