Easy to install. Kind of expensive 99$. Dan's chat was not responsive.

I never rate items but thought it was necessary this time. The functionality of the product works great. However, even though the mfg says the bigger new design fits properly, it doesn't. When taking into account the electrical plug and wiring, the fit is so tight that only 2 of the 3 canopy screws can go back in easily. I have installed two of these units and spent 2 minutes swapping out the unit but another hour getting things to fit back together properly.

It is so nice to have our fan back working. The receiver was exactly the problem. No problems at all for the install. You have my seal of approval. $80 for the fix vs. $300 for a new fan is a no-brainer. Bill Phipps

Part fit perfectly! A plug and two screws.. wala! Done! Took longer to get out step stool than to replace part. No additional Programming was needed, spot on from the factory.

This receiver works soooooo much better than the original. My hubby was going to buy a new fan & I found this site under the Home Depot comments for the fan. This was the best decision ever. Easy to install. Pretty much plug and play. Took less than 5 minutes to install. The staff were very nice and easy to do business with. We exchanged emails and the person was extremely helpful and really provided level of service I thought was extinct. Thanks so much!!

This worked exactly like described. We ordered it because our Hampton Bay Altura 68" fan had stopped working. It had power but was just not responding. We-boards said it was most likely the remote's receiver up in the fan. Additionally, they said to pay attention to the capacitor in the new receiver to make sure it is a 9uf or your fan will run much more slowly. After research, we ordered this one. We removed the bottom cap from the fan, unscrewed the 2 screws holding in the old receiver, screwed in this receiver (no modifications needed), installed it on the fan (plugged it in and screwed the cap back on the fan) and when through the recommended start up procedure in the instructions and it is working wonderfully. I whole-heartedly recommend this as a replacement receiver.

Solved my problems! It is certainly a little larger to handle the heat dissipation & did not require an modification to the switch cup. The original lasted 4 years. I hope this one lasts longer!
