Replacement receiver and remote for a Hunter ceiling fan. Hunter does not make them anymore, great service, prompt fulfillment. Note: on my Hunter Model fan, I had to use the connectors from the old receiver, and splice them on the new one for my fan kit to work. No issues, very easy install, and my fan/light and remote work without issue. A lot cheaper than replacing the whole fan. I will certainly use Dan's again!!

This remote control receiver and transmitter breathed new life into our original Hunter ceiling fan. I studied the pictures and particularly the connections and it looked like it would work. It turns out to be a near-exact replacement and our fan is fully functional again. Install took less than 20 minutes and working with Dan's was easy and efficient. Great product and a great company to deal with.

A 99.99 % same replacement product. The only difference is the aluminum bracket intended to locate the receiver in the light housing. The new one has shorter extensions than the original, but they're easily bendable enough to be pulled out from the receiver enough to make the unit fit snugly in the light housing if needed. I bent them to have a 1/2 inch space from the receiver on both sides at the end of each, leaving them like springs with enough tension to work perfectly and snugly for our fan with light unit. Otherwise, the unit is an exact replacement for the old one, installs easily, and the new remote works with it just like the original, or better. Great find! And Dan's Electronics is a great find too!

Works great now but the receiver casing is to big and was a pain to get it back together. Fan cover with receiver was tough. Almost gave up but finally worked to get the cover screws in.

This is not a direct replacement for Hunter fan #, but made adjustments (OD dia. was 1/8 inch +) and completed the installation. Works fine.

The only problem I have (I, not the product) is that I have not been able to try it, because I installed it on my fan and it does not start. The replacement worked perfectly. Only problem was the original bracket for the RF receiver could not be used to hold the Anderic system. I had to bend the supporting tabs out of the way to be able to replace the fan dome over the unit.

The part worked as it should but was not an exact fit inside my fan and couldnt be screwed down. I bent the mounting tabs and forced it into the pocket and closed her up. It fixed the fan! It saved me 300$ from buying a new fan.

Item arrived on time as indicated. It fit my fan perfectly with no problem except that one of the connectors had to be replaced. Used a connector from the old unit by cutting the wires on both units to exchange the connectors and soldering the splice. I set the codes on the unit and remote and installed the unit in the fan. Work great. New unit is slightly larger than original. Had to modify the cover just a little. Once I connected and restored power, it worked perfectly.

Install took 8 minutes and everything worked on the first try. Have noticed fan turns slower than original. Don't understand the electronics enough to figure out why, but perhaps as a vendor of this product Dan's can give us an answer about it and find out if the maker can do anything about it. Probably nothing will happen.

Easy to install. You might need to remove the old bracket but who cares. The delivery and price were timely and great. Top of my list for future needs.

So far so good. The customer support could have been a little faster, more friendly and a bit less robotic but so far the product does everything it's supposed to do. Fingers crossed!

I have 2 68" Altura fans which died due to the shoddy receiver. This replacement receiver/remote kit worked perfectly after trying for months to figure out what was wrong with the fan. Don't try to get a remote to match the MR77A receiver...I did that and wasted my time. Get this combo and get your fan back in working order. I'll be ordering another one of these for my other fan soon!

Works great with the Home Decorators Altura 68" ceiling fan. The only difference from the original remote is that it doesn't dim the light. Hence 4 Stars. Otherwise I like the fact you program receiver and remote with dip switches, rather than by frequency recognition (original unit) by turning power off and synching within 30 seconds; this caused problems during power outages if you had more than one unit.

Got this as a replacement for the dreaded MR77A that failed in my fan. Direct plug in for the fan. Someone said this has no dimming feature. I can confirm that the one I received does in fact have dimming. I did however need to remove the little piece of metal that the previous remote mounted to, as this unit doesnt mount the same way.

Aside from having to modify the original housing a little, this thing was perfect and easy to install.

Ordered the kit and it was received in a very short time and well packaged. Installation was easy except for one thing; that's why only 4 stars. It would have been very nice if mating connectors would have been supplied. They were not so I had to cut off the connectors on the light wires and connect the lights with two wire nuts. Everything worked flawlessly and I would recommend this kit to anyone that has a malfunctioning remote or receiver. It turned out that my old remote was functional, but the receiver was the culprit. Hint: Buy the kit like I did, and don't try to figure out which one is defective.

Unit appears to be direct replacement and is working correctly. Only concern is heat sink is considerably smaller than original and does not hold the unit in place. On original unit heat sink wings press against fan housing holding unit in place. This also added the fan housing as part of heat sink.

SOOOOO glad for all these reviews!!! Fixed my Altura 68" fan. Perfect match of the plugs and pins. You need to buy the set of receiver and remote. I wasn't going to but glad I did. My old remote wouldn't work with it even though I had the dip switches in identical settings. The MR77a is plagued with issues so hoping this is an upgrade.

The remote and module work great. Changed switch settings on remote and module then tried it without issue. Replaced my Nutone set perfectly.

Everything worked out with the new receiver but its not the same yellow round unit that you show in the picture. The new receiver has to go up top inside the ceiling cover and you need to add a blue wire through the motor shaft to connect the lights. Worked out good.

Very easy to replace. This is my second replacement for this fan. The original and first replacement did not last very long. Hopefully this one will be better.

The product is used in a Hampton Bay Redington III fan which has a wireless remote control. The start and run capacitors in the internal remote control receiver had failed so the fan would only barely start and run. Buying the entire receiver and remote was not much more expensive (and a lot more convenient) than trying to perform a repair. I recommend this to anyone who has a Hampton Bay (or other compatible brand) fan that uses a remote control and the fan does not work any more. The odds are that the motor is fine but the electronics have failed and this solves that problem. I would guess that the quality of the replacement parts exceeds the original.
