Original remote casing degraded over time. This new one never will. Great replacement! Use instructions need better explanation that fan learns the remotes signal, not the other way round.

No stars! Never got it to program and ended up just eating the cost and buying somewhere else.

It is the identical replacement for my Casablanca ceiling fan remote though it is branded differently. Comes with full instructions for setting up for most remote-operated fans; not needed in my case since it worked right out of the box. My original remote worked fine after more than 10 years in operation, but the white plastic case was slowly turning into sticky goo. Not exposed to daylight or chemicals, so that's very odd. I see other reports of this problem, so I'm not alone. We'll see what happens to this one over the long haul Sincerly, Bill Taylor ASC

Black remotes came with my Levon Fanimation. Needed white...these are the remotes in white for aesthetic reasons. Thiis is the exact same remote as the originals, for less $$ and more importantly it is white. All fans work the same and n problems.
